Lori Erdos is the Vice President, Advertising Sales of USA Today. The categories she oversees include travel, technology, telecommunications, automotive, financial, entertainment, retail, pharmaceutical, and packaged goods. Erdos directs a talented sales team dedicated to managing and developing client solutions for USA Today’s global marketers.
Erdos joined USA TODAY in 1996 as travel advertising director. In 1997, she was promoted to director/advertising sales for the Northeast region. She was named to her current position in 1999.Erdos joined Gannett, parent company of USA TODAY, in 1993 as seniorvice president/sales for Gannett’s outdoor advertising division. She was promoted in January 1996 to general manager of Gannett Outdoor Network, USA. Prior to joining Gannett, Erdos was President of Ackerley Airport Advertising, the largest owner of airport advertising displays in the United States and publisher of Washington Flyer Magazine. She joined Ackerley Airport Advertising in 1981 as an account executive and served from 1988 to 1990 as Vice President/National Sales for both their airport and outdoor divisions. Previously, she was a management supervisor at an agency in New York, Gamut International. Erdos is on the Board of the Travel Industry Association (TIA) and VCU AdCenter. Erdos is Chairman of the Advertising Club of New York after serving as President from 2005 -2007. She also held the position as President of Advertising Women of New York in 1992-1993. Erdos was a recipient of the American Advertising Federation’s Crystal Prism Award in 1988.
